Astrology: The Meaning of Sagittarius Season
We officially enter Sagittarius Season from November 22nd until the Winter Solstice on December 21st!
If you are a Sagittarius sun, moon, or rising -this is your season! So, let’s dig into what the energy of this big and bold sign is all about.
The zodiac sign of Sagittarius is all about growth, exploration, and discovering one's truth. It is ruled by the planet Jupiter, which is our planet of wisdom and luck. Jupiter has a nature of bringing growth and blessings with him wherever he goes. No wonder Sagittarius season is the most festive time of the year, when folks are in their most generous mood!
The symbolism of Sagittarius is an archer or (more specifically) The Centaur named Chiron, which is the archetype of the Wounded Healer in Astrology. The Centaur’s arrow is always pointed up, representative of the characteristics of growth and optimism held by this sign. Following Scorpio season, which is characterized by symbolic death and rebirth, Sagittarius season is like the phoenix rising from the ashes. In the natal chart, this is represented by the ninth house and is where we experience a new found awakening and discovery of our deepest truths.
This Sagittarius Season is a really special one because we have Jupiter and Venus, our two most benefic planets, meeting up at the Galactic Center on November 23rd. The Galactic Center is at 27 degrees of Sagittarius, so Jupiter only passes this point once every 12 years. It is the energetic center of our galaxy and what the ancient Mayans referred to as “The Heart of the Sky”. This point is connected to cosmic consciousness and with Jupiter and Venus meeting here, this is sure to bring us blessings of higher awakening and karmic reward. This massive manifestation of positive energy reminds us to embrace the true nature of Sagittarius by having an open mind and heart to receive what awaits us in 2020!
Happy Sagittarius Season!
